email settings

Mail Settings
There are two different mail settings you may need. Firstly there is the incoming mail server, also know as the POP server, or simply the mail server. For dialup customers, it depends on your account type, but it should generally be "mail.iinet.net.au".

Secondly, there is the outgoing mail server, also known as the SMTP server. This should be set to "mail.iinet.net.au".

POP Server .................: mail.iinet.net.au
SMTP Server.................: mail.iinet.net.au
Email Address (WA)..........: username @iinet.net.au

Mail Settings for Echidna Accounts

POP Server .................: mail.echidna.id.au
SMTP Server.................: mail.iinet.net.au
Email Address (WA)..........: username @echidna.id.au

World Wide Web/Proxy Configuration
We recommend you leave your proxy configuration blank, as we have a system which will transparently switch you through a proxy when it is expedient to do so.

USENet/News Settings
iiNet has a network of Network News servers which you can contact. These servers can also be referred to as NNTP servers.

News Server ................: freenews.iinet.net.au
