Adjusting ringer volume
There's a ringer switch on the base which adjusts the ringing volume. There are three settings: HI (loudest), LOW (not so loud) and OFF (the telephone won't ring at all).
Storing a number
- Pick up the handset
- Press the "store" button
- Push the desired memory location button
- Press the "store" button
- Use the handset number keys to enter the telephone number (up to 16 digits) and press the "store" button
- Hang up the handset
Dialling a stored number
- Pick up the handset and press the "mem" button
- Press 0-9 for the memory location. The number will dial automatically
Reviewing stored numbers
- Press the "store" button
- Press 0-9 for the memory location. The number shows on the display (on the top of the handset)

corded handset troubleshooting
No dial tone
- Ensure you conduct a full isolation test (unplug all other devices connected to your phone line)
- Check that the hook switch fully extends when the handset is lifted from the cradle
- Try a different phone socket, phone cable or a different phone
- If you still have no dial tone, please call our support team on 13 22 58 so they can lodge a line fault
No display
- Replace the batteries
- Make sure the batteries are properly installed
No information displays after the phone rings
- In order to receive caller ID records, you must subscribe to the caller ID service available through your telephone provider
- Be sure to wait until the second ring before answering
Phone doesn't ring
- Make sure ringer switch is set to "HI"
- You may have too many extension phones on your line (extra phones plugged into the phone line). Unplug some phones
- Check for a dial tone - if there is no dial tone follow the troubleshooting procedures for no dial tone above
Other party cannot hear you
- Make sure the phone cord is securely connected
- Make sure any other phones are on the hook at the same time you're using the phone. When extension handsets are used at the same time it's normal for the volume to drop

Setting the time and date
- Make sure the handset is in standby state (i.e. not in use)
- Press "menu/ok" key to go to the main menu
- Press the up or down key until "DATE/TIME" appears on the display. Press "menu/OK" key to access the date and time setup
- Use the touch tone pad to enter the current time (format is DD/MM/YY)
- Press "menu/OK" key to confirm the date setting
- Use the touch tone pad to enter the current time (format is HH:MM where hour is 24 hour format)
- Press "menu/OK" to confirm the time setting
Handset ringer level
- Make sure the handset is in standby state (i.e. not in use)
- Press "menu/ok" key to go to the main menu
- Press the up or down key until "HS RINGER" appears on the display
- Press "menu/OK" to access the handset ringer setup, display will show "RINGER VOLUME"
- Press "menu/OK" key to access handset ringer level setting
- Press the up or down key to move to your selection, display wilil show 4,3,2,1 or off (4 being the loudest)
- Press "menu/OK" to confirm your selection
Base master PIN code
- Make sure the handset is in standby state (i.e. not in use)
- Press "menu/ok" key to go to the main menu
- Press the up or down key until "MASTER PIN" appears on the display
- Press "menu/OK" key and then enter the four digit old PIN (default PIN is 0000)
- Press "menu/OK" key to access new Mast PIN setup, display will show "Enter New Pin"
- Enter the four digits of the new PIN
- Display will show "Reenter PIN". Re-enter the new PIN to verify it. If it matches, the new base master PIN is saved
Associate a handset to the base
- Make sure the additional handset is in standby state (i.e. not in use)
- Press "menu/ok" key to go to the main menu
- Press the up or down key until "REGISTRATION" appears on the display
- Press "menu/OK" to access handset registration setup, display will show "ENTER PIN"
- Press and hold the "PAGE" button on the base station for five seconds until you hear the notification beep
- Enter the four digits of the base master PIN
- Press the "menu/OK" key to confirm. Display will show "Waiting"
- Select the handset number with the appropriate numeric keys (1-4)
- You will hear a long confirmation beep and the handset will return to standby mode

cordless handset troubleshooting
Important: To ensure the best battery performance, ensure the phone is charged for 12 hours prior to first use.
Caller ID: no display
- Is the battery fully charged? Try replacing the batteries and make sure they're properly installed and connected
- If you are using AC power, make sure that the unit is connected to a non-switched electrical outlet. Disconnect the unit for the plug and plug it in again
- Ensure you have purchased caller ID through your telephone provider
No dial tone
- Ensure you conduct a full isolation test (unplug all other devices connected to your phone line)
- Check installation - is the power cord connected to a working outlet, and the telephone line cord connected to the base unit and the phone socket in the wall?
- Is the handset out of range of the base?
- Make sure the battery is properly charged (12 hours)
- Is the battery pack installed correctly?
- Did the "IN USE" indicator come on?
- Try a different phone socket, phone cable or a different phone
- If you still have no dial tone, please call our support team on 13 22 58 so they can lodge a line fault
Have dial tone, can't dial out
- Make sure the tone/pulse setting is correct
Handset doesn't ring
- Make sure the "RINGER" setting on the handset is programmed to "ON"
- You may have too many extension phones on your line (handsets plugged into phone sockets). Try unplugging some phones
- See the section for troubleshooting for no dial tone
Experience static, noise, or fading in and out
- Check the handset is in range (move closer to the base station)
- Charge the battery
- Make sure the base is not plugged into a power outlet with another household appliance
No charge or intermittent charge
- Clean the charge contacts on the base station and the handset
