How do I upgrade from an old iiNet phone plan to the current one offered?
If you are an existing iiNet phone customer you can stay where you are or upgrade to a current phone plan through toolbox. It's quick, easy and best of all, free.
I am currently on iiPhone residential and want to upgrade to a business phone line, can I still get iiPhone business?
No, we no longer sell iiPhone business plans. If you would like to upgrade your residential line to a business line you will receive Phone 1 Business with low local call costs and great value call blocks.
Can existing customers with iiPhone Residential services change their phone service to Phone 1 without changing their broadband plan?
Yes - in November 2005 (due to an increase in fixed phone wholesale costs) we increased the line rental for iiPhone Residential customers from $29.95 to $33.36. Therefore, we are allowing these customers to keep their existing broadband plan and take Phone 1 which offers the lower line rental (if they choose to do so).
If I upgrade my broadband plan, does it affect my phone bundle?
If you currently have a broadband plan bundled with phone and wish to change your plan, you will need to ensure your current phone service is Phone 1. If you have one of our old phone products, you will need to upgrade to Phone 1 at the same time you upgrade your broadband plan (iiPhone customers exempt). With Phone 1, you will be able to access our high speeds, enjoy great block rates and receive bonus downloads.
How do I organise my relocation?
You need to call iiNet as soon as you know when you wish to organise your relocation. Note that we require a minimum of 2 working days notice to do relocations.
What information do I need to provide for a relocation?
- We first need permission from the phone lease holder, if this is not you, then you will need this person with you when you make the relocation call.
- We need the exact new address details of the new location, and if you have the old phone number of that location, this would also be beneficial.
- Advise us as to when you wish to have your old service disconnected and your new service connected.
- Do you have other services? Eg, Fax Duet, Multiple Number?. If so, you also need to make sure you tell our support staff this information as well as the service numbers.
- Any other information you think will help us with your phone relocation.
What should I be aware of during a relocation?
- Phone relocations generally take 2 working days, providing that a new line or a tech visit is not required.
- You will not always be able to keep your same phone number.
- We cannot relocate your ADSL service until after your new location is connected. Even then, it will still take 7-10 days for your ADSL to be relocated.
Please note: ADSL Relocation is an extra cost of $99, plus $69 early termination fee if you are relocating within six months of activation.
How much does a relocation cost?
- Standard relocation to an existing line: $59 for the first service and $59 for each additional service connected at the same time.
- Relocation which requires a tech visit: $125 (for business customers only - you will be advised if a tech is required) and $75.50 for each additional service connected at the same time
- Relocation which requires a brand new line: $299 and $179 for each additional service connected at the same time.
